Nassau County Landscape Contractors Top Ten Tips

When it comes to Nassau County Landscape Contractors, there are several tips that many of them recommend to their customers so their lawns and gardens are well maintained. They have been gracious enough to put them down for use on our site. Here they are:

1. Wrap bulbs that you plant in the ground in steel wool Why? Prevents the animals from eating them.

5. To keep potted plants from freezing, use office bubble wrapping on the inside of the pot.

6. Discarded newspapers make great inserts for hanging baskets.

7. Use a line level on a piece of string to cut those front hedge tops evenly. String the rope across from sticks on either side of the hedge to get that perfect shape.

8. Put pepper and aftershave perfume that you don't use anymore on spots where you do not want dogs or any animals to relieve themselves.

9. The Nassau County Landscape Contractors urge you to pour boiling salt water on your walkway cement or brick paths to stop those pesky weeds that pop up.

10. Spray a wood fence with surgical spray to keep cats and other rodents/animals off them.
